Addiction Specialist & Certified Intervention Professional & Educator
Patricia Pike is CEO and founder of CanAm Interventions. She is a Certified Intervention Professional, Addiction Specialist, and Educator with a mission to elevate the standard of care in the treatment for addiction and mental health disorders.
With over 25 years of on-site experience in behavioral health, Patricia specializes in alcoholism, substance abuse, addiction disorders and complex mental health challenges. She has conducted many successful interventions worldwide holding a citizenship both in the United States and Canada.
Patricia’s credentials include a master’s certification in addiction studies, licenses as a Licensed Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (LAADC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II), and recognition as an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the IC&RC (I.C.A.A.D.C). She is also a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board, Canadian Certified Intervention Professional certification (CCIP) from Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation and holds an Adult Instructor Diploma (AID) from Simon Fraser University. As a committed board member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS), Patricia actively contributes to advancing her field internally, sits on the membership committee board.
Her dedication to the helping field is deeply personal, as she has been on her own recovery journey for many years. Drawing from her personal experiences and education, Patricia approaches of helping others comes from a passion, aiming to instill hope in individuals and their families.
In today's global addiction crisis, having certified and credentialed interventionists like Ms. Pike is paramount. Her expertise extends to complex substance abuse disorders/addictions and mental health challenges, family services and working with a diverse population, including private clients, native Amercian communities, business leaders, music/entertainment professionals, and employers.

Freeman (Sam) Corkum, Monitoring Manager
Sam works side by side with Patricia in providing case management services, planning, and other operational aspects of the client wrap-around case management services. Sam also monitors drug and alcohol testing, tracking, and monitoring, as well as facilitating assessments and referrals.
Sam, with over 31 years of recovery, is deeply involved in our mission. He has a proven track record of helping suffering addicts and working to strengthen our communities. He is the founder and CEO of Innovative Treatment Services, which coordinates with CanAm Interventions enabling us to provide a closed loop of services.
Along with his passion for recovery coaching and providing client services, Sam is a successful high-tech professional who worked in The Silicon Valley for 27 years. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Computer Technologies Program in Berkeley, CA, a non-profit technical education program for disabled and disadvantaged students.
William (Bill) Woodbury, Addiction Counselor
Bill is a Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC II) through CADTP. He has worked in the field of Chemical Dependency since 1988 and has held many different positions throughout the years. He has worked as an interventionist in both private practice and concurrently in his various roles at treatment centers throughout the years.
He served as the director for the SHARE UNIT at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Pasadena for over 10 years. He went on to serve as the Program Director at New Found Life Residential Center in Long Beach
from over a decade, leaving that position to start Bridging the Recovery Gap as well as devote the time to write Enable-ism™ with his wife and co-author, Linda.
Over the years Bill has developed numerous educational lectures and workshops for private institutions, community colleges, and community-based organizations. Specifically, he had the opportunity to develop and teach curriculum in criminal behavior and chemical dependency at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. More recently, Bill is enjoying working as an equine assisted counselor serving individuals and families affected by SUD throughout the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County area. Bill has also begun working as a family coach, providing knowledge and practical support for family members who have been affected by addiction. Applying his over three decades of professional experience with key concepts from Enable-ism™, Bill provides family members with foundational skills that support family resilience and eventual interdependency. Additionally, the two can be combined, providing a unique experiential and holistic approach to healing the family.
Joe Kavosick, RN Registered Nurse
Joe Kavosick has been a registered nurse for 16 years, specializing in trauma/emergency services and critical care transport. Over the course of his career, Joe has cared for multiple patients suffering from substance abuse and understands the toll addiction takes on families.
Joe prides himself on his strong clinical background, critical thinking and decision-making skills, combined with a level of caring, integrity, empathy and compassion that creates a therapeutic environment for patients and family members.

Sasha Antoun, CIP, Certified Intervention Professional
Sasha has over five years’ experience working in primary substance abuse and co-occurring disorder behavioral health treatment settings with great understanding into every available level of care after having worked in nearly all aspects of a facility.
She completed schooling for substance abuse counseling and graduated from the Los Angeles Training Institute of Drug and Alcohol Studies (received awards for perfect attendance and academic achievement), has been trained in a variety of intervention modalities through the CanAm Intervention Trainings 101 and 102, and have continued to pursue education in mental health conditions and treatment to further her ability to effectively serve those who need help. Professional areas of focus include admissions work and community outreach.

Michael Hughes, Transport Specialist
Michael is a seasoned Executive Protection Transport Specialist & Sober Companion providing professional services in the private sector and to the recovery community for over 31 years. Mr. Hughes have worked with Patricia Pike Interventionist/Addiction Specialist
For the past year supporting her on various intervention cases and provided transport and recovery coaching services to clients and supporting families. Michael has a clear understanding of substance abuse, caring for the individuals that he works with and has much passion to connect persons with positive resources in the community.
Mr. Hughes is verse and has expertise’s working with on many high-profile cases as well as he is very flexible in his approaches to support many persons from all walks of life.

Kurtis Girard, CIP, Certified Intervention Professional
Kurtis has been working to positively impact individuals struggling with substance use and mental health afflictions since 2010. He has held a multitude of titles and responsibilities throughout his time working in the treatment industry.
These positions range from direct client care to Director of various departments in the treatment field. While in these roles, Kurtis worked effortlessly to provide optimal client support for numerous populations.
Mr. Girard has worked for premiere high-end facilities and in network ones providing care to the underserved populations. His vast experience in different networks of treatment settings has allowed for the placement of an uncountable number of afflicted individuals to receive care that is best suited for them.
In 2014, the role of admissions became a passion for Kurtis. Not long after, he saw the need for client and family mentorship which led him to explore and develop excellent and effective coaching skills. Mr. Girard has coached a diverse range of families through interventions and recovery healing journeys. Mr. Girard personal attributes is kindness, and an unwavering passion to support those in need gives Kurtis a rare ability to connect with both individuals and their families in a way that successfully launches them from their suffering into a sustainable solution.
Dana Michele, Sober Companion
Dana lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, with over 13 years of recovery and is an active member of several recovery-based programs. She has used the process of recovery, 12 step programs, and therapy to heal her life, and has been of service in a number of ways to her community and individuals seeking help and guidance.
Phil Covert, M.Div, BCMHC, Family Coach
Phil Covert, M.Div, BCMHC With over 20 years experience as a pastor, Phil brings his extensive experience, education, and unique integration of faith, recovery, and trauma informed care to his work with those struggling with addiction and those who love them.
He is an ordained pastor, non-profit leader, certified mental health and trauma informed coach, and is pursuing his licensing as an Addiction Interventionist. He holds degrees from Moody Bible Institute and Reformed Theological Seminary and is beginning his doctoral work in Christian Counseling.
