Our team comes from a wide variety of different backgrounds, experiences, and varying degrees of education that we can bring together to better serve those we support on their journey.
We have a firm grasp on how various forms of drug, alcohol abuse and mental health challenges impact families and support each other through professional consultation and supervision to utilize the varied strengths in our team to increase effectiveness with those we serve.

Patricia M. Pike

Licensed Addiction Professional, Certified Intervention Professional & Adult Educator.
Ms. Pike’s unique experiences include working with complex substance abuse disorders, mental health challenges and providing hands-on support services for families. Ms. Pike's professional experience started in the area of working in the medical model of substance abuse and mental health treatment programs. Early on, working alongside addiction & mental health physicians and supporting persons from all walks of life. She specializes in working with families struggling with their loved one's addictions or mental health conditions.
Her work includes treatment and interventions for first responders, business leaders or executives, professionals, musicians and entertainers, high tech workers, college students, and many others across the spectrum of professions. Patricia believes strongly in fairness and equality. Her energy and passion to help individuals and families comes from believing that anyone can achieve recovery from their struggles with substances or mental health conditions, find purpose and dignity in recovery, and learn a new way to live.
Patricia is a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC), Certified Addiction Professional Counsellor (CADC-II) through (CCAPP). Certified Intervention Professional (CIP), through (PCB). She is a long-standing member of the Canadian Addiction Counselor Association Federation (ICAADC) through (IC&RC / CACCF) and Adult Instructor Diploma (AID) from Simon Fraser University. Patricia currently sits on the board of the nationally recognized Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS).
She has helped hundreds of individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health challenges throughout the United States and Canada.
With her own personal recovery journey, professional experience and educational background, Patricia is passionate to support and advocate for individuals and their families affected by substance use disorders and / or mental health challenges. Patricia believes she does not end up in the lives of her clients by mistake. With her vast personal and professional expertise and genuine nature for supporting others, she creates a hands-on approach to connect with her clients.
Patricia has an extraordinary success rate for helping those in need to access treatment and to start on their healing journey. Ms. Pike is a highly effective trauma-informed and family systemic interventionist. It is important to meet our clients 'where they're at'. We assess individuals and their families by adjusting our services accordingly to meet their needs.
.Patricia holds citizenship both in the United States and Canada which gives her a diverse professional perspective of working in both countries.
Sam Corkum, Monitoring Manager, Case Management Services.
Sam is also working with Patricia in providing case management services in planning and other operational aspects of a clients wrap-around case management services that are provided by CanAm Interventions such as drug and alcohol testing / tracking and monitoring, With Patricia’s direction Sam is facilitating assessments and referrals for clients as well.
Sam has been deeply involved with recovery and has over 31 years clean and sober. Along with his hi-tech career Sam is now pursuing a passion for helping / coaching and providing client services to those in recovery and treatment.
Sam has over 27 years in his career in the hi-tech field, and 15 years for one of the biggest and most successful Silicon Valley software companies. Sam has recently accepted a position as a Senior IT Specialist for the County of Marin, Dept. of Behavioral Health, and Recovery Services for the medical / patient management (Electronic Health Record), and Clinicians Gateway applications.
Sam is founder and CEO of a new venture; Innovative Treatment Services, in coordination with CanAm Interventions can also provide a range of recovery services from Recovery Coaching, testing, tracking, and monitoring to other key features of Case Management and Supportive / Peer based Recovery Services. https://innotreatment.net/
Along with his personal experience of over 31 years in recovery helping addicts and being of service in the community has been a constant. Currently Sam is serving as President of the Board of Directors for the Computer Technologies Program in Berkeley, CA, a non-profit technical education program for disabled and disadvantaged students.
Sam has also served for decades doing recovery-based volunteer work leading or facilitating groups, and speaking at a range of facilities, institutions, and meetings / events mainly in California, and Vancouver, BC Canada, also across the U.S.
With a long history in the hi-tech / corporate world and software engineering communities Sam has a unique perspective and substantial experience to share in balancing career and recovery.
Bill is a Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC II) through CADTP who has worked in the field of Chemical Dependency since 1988.He has held many different positions throughout the years, both in for profit as well as non-profit settings.He has worked as an interventionist in both private practice and concurrently in his various roles at treatment centers throughout the years.
He served as the director for the SHARE UNIT at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Pasadena for over 10 years. He went on to serve as the Program Director at New Found Life Residential Center in Long Beach
from over a decade, leaving that position to start Bridging the Recovery Gap as well as devote the time to write Enable-ism™ with his wife and co-author, Linda.
Over the years Bill has developed numerous educational lectures and workshops for private institutions, community colleges, and community-based organizations. Specifically, he had the opportunity to develop and teach curriculum in criminal behavior and chemical dependency at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. More recently, Bill is enjoying working as an equine assisted counselor serving individuals and families affected by SUD throughout the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County area. Bill has also begun working as a family coach, providing knowledge and practical support for family members who have been affected by addiction. Applying his over three decades of professional experience with key concepts from Enable-ism™, Bill provides family members with foundational skills that support family resilience and eventual interdependency. Additionally, the two can be combined, providing a unique experiential and holistic approach to healing the family.
Joe Kavosick has been a registered nurse for 16 years, specializing in trauma/emergency services and critical care transport. Over the course of his career, Joe has cared for multiple patients suffering from substance abuse and understands the toll addiction takes on families.
Joe prides himself on his strong clinical background, critical thinking and decision-making skills, combined with a level of caring, integrity, empathy and compassion that creates a therapeutic environment for patients and family members.

- Educating patients on the “cycle of addiction”. Supporting clients in identifying and consistently leveraging their expanding resources, skills, and strengths.

Sasha has over five years’ experience working in primary substance abuse and co-occurring disorder behavioral health treatment settings with great understanding into every available level of care after having worked in nearly all aspects of a facility.
She completed schooling for substance abuse counseling and graduated from the Los Angeles Training Institute of Drug and Alcohol Studies (received awards for perfect attendance and academic achievement), has been trained in a variety of intervention modalities through the CanAm Intervention Trainings 101 and 102, and have continued to pursue education in mental health conditions and treatment to further her ability to effectively serve those who need help. Professional areas of focus include admissions work and community outreach.

Michael is a seasoned Executive Protection Transport Specialist & Sober Companion providing professional services in the private sector and to the recovery community for over 31 years. Mr. Hughes have worked with Patricia Pike Interventionist/Addiction Specialist
for the past year supporting her on various intervention cases and provided transport and recovery coaching services to clients and supporting families. Michael has a clear understanding of substance abuse, caring for the individuals that he works with and has much passion to connect persons with positive resources in the community.
Mr. Hughes is verse and has expertise’s working with on many high-profile cases as well as he is very flexible in his approaches to support many persons from all walks of life.

Kurtis has been working to positively impact individuals struggling with substance use and mental health afflictions since 2010. He has held a multitude of titles and responsibilities throughout his time working in the treatment industry.
These positions range from direct client care to Director of various departments in the treatment field. While in these roles, Kurtis worked effortlessly to provide optimal client support for numerous populations.
Mr. Girard has worked for premiere high-end facilities and in network ones providing care to the underserved populations. His vast experience in different networks of treatment settings has allowed for the placement of an uncountable number of afflicted individuals to receive care that is best suited for them.
In 2014, the role of admissions became a passion for Kurtis. Not long after, he saw the need for client and family mentorship which led him to explore and develop excellent and effective coaching skills. Mr. Girard has coached a diverse range of families through interventions and recovery healing journeys.
- In 2018, Kurtis was trained as an interventionist through Hightower Associates, a leading professional group of treatment service providers founded by a pioneer in the intervention field.
- In 2019, Kurtis was trained in Family Systems invitational style interventions.
- In 2021, Kurtis completed CanAm Interventions 101 Training and (8) weeks of CanAm Intervention 102 Supervision Training by: Patricia Pike to his journey, to improve effectiveness.
Mr. Girard personal attributes is kindness, and an unwavering passion to support those in need gives Kurtis a rare ability to connect with both individuals and their families in a way that successfully launches them from their suffering into a sustainable solution.
