Since our first conversation through the intervention you were strong and so compassionate and you taught me how to be strong. I keep going back in my mind through all the conversations and prep work you took us through and I could not have asked for a better outcome. Thank you for listening to me and making sure that I am comfortable with the plan. I really felt like you had my back and that you also had my son’s best interests at heart. You were his advocate as much as mine…He is on the way to recovery now and I have only you to thank for working with us – I am grateful every day for meeting you.
It’s a privilege to know and work with Patricia Pike, she is an amazing person with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. Her proven skills and abilities coupled with extensive experience from decades makes her unique in dealing with the most difficult and complex cases. I have known Patricia for many years and personally I have over 31 years in recovery and have never seen anyone with Patricia’s remarkable ability in working with addicts / alcoholics and their families. She is truly gifted and that shows in her tremendous success rate. Patricia is also very highly regarded amongst her peers and colleagues in the medical / psychiatric, psychology, addictions, and treatment fields.
Patti Pike is an amazing person. I’m in awe of her skill with people when they are at their most frustrated, vulnerable and fragile. My family, friends, and I had been trying for over a year to get my son to realize that he had a serious problem with substance abuse. He became so abusive that most of his friends removed themselves from the situation. I contacted Patti out of desperation. Because my son viewed his family and friends as his enemy, Patti could not oversee a conventional intervention. Our gratitude to Patti is profound.
CanAm Interventions was integral in starting my own company Day One Intervention in Alberta, Canada, by Applying the Theory and practices along with the Supervision Training has led me to rewarding Opportunity for creating a Road to Recovery for all those who want the gift of sobriety. Thank you, CanAm Intervention Training, for the life changing knowledge that continues to make a difference in the families affected by addiction.
I have been in the field of addiction for almost 30 years and have worked with Patricia for almost 6 years. Her wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of substance use and co-occurring disorders is extensive. Not only does she work with and assist families at this level, but she has also mentored countless other professionals. Patricia works closely with all aspects of this work in intervention, which is crucial in helping those families achieve lifesaving results. She not only draws on her own education and expertise which is vast, she consults with a field of outstanding professionals to assist in her work. Patricia is without a doubt a leader in this field of work and I am proud to have associated her with CanAm Interventions.
Patti is one of the most respected voices in the field of addiction intervention and coaching. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and a consummate professional. Not only does her track record speak for itself but she has been instrumental in training and mentoring myriads of other interventionists. You are in good hands with Can Am Interventions! Patti has also given me an opportunity to work with some of her clients, it’s been a blessing to be part of her team.
Patricia Pike is an ethical stand-up interventionist. I recommend her to anyone seeking help for their loved one. As someone working in the industry for almost 18 years, I can honestly say that she is one of the best. I attended intervention 101 training courses which helped me to start my private practice. Patti has continued to teach, and supervise my work with families. Patti continues to be a pillar in the professional community to raise the bar for other professionals by promoting intervention certifications.
Patti worked with my son for over four years and helped us understand and cope with the mental health and addiction problems that he suffers from. As parents, it was hard to fully comprehend the depths of our son’s addiction and depression. We were always looking for some ray of sunshine that showed he was turning a corner and changing for the better.
He was seeing a psychiatrist and was on medication for anxiety and depression. We really didn’t know what else to do and we didn’t have a clue when it came to understanding his addiction problems. Finally, it became obvious that he had turned into someone that we no longer knew, and it was clear that he was becoming dangerous to himself and possibly to others as well.
He had gone from a happy and confident kid to someone whose darkness and anger were profound and frightening. At our first meeting with Patti, it was clear that she had been down this road before. She explained what was going on with our son in a way that opened our eyes, and she also began laying out a path for us to follow to get him the help he needed.
Naturally, at first our son wanted nothing to do with Patti and had no interest in dealing with his issues. However, over time and with persistence, Patti gained his trust and respect. Eventually, our son entered a long-term treatment program in Southern California that Patti had highly recommended. That program was a real lifeline for our son. He has been in it for a few months at this point and it is wonderful to see the positive changes he has made in his life. Patti’s help and advice really made a big difference in finally putting our son’s life on a positive trajectory.
I have known you (Patricia) on a personal and professional basis for the past ten years. As co-counselors, we shared a three-year period serving a marginalized and multi-diagnosed client population within the most impoverished and drug addicted environment in North America – downtown eastside area of Vancouver Canada. I hold the utmost respect for you as a compassionate, genuine and competent counselor with integrity and a commitment to your profession. In my opinion, I believe that you have the passion to provide exemplary services to clients in need of your services and that clients who access your agency will benefit from a best practices approach to recovery and wellness. On a personal note, I have appreciated your sense of humor and unconditional support during some challenging professional experiences. You are a tribute to the counseling profession.
Patti helped save my son’s life by navigating a family intervention. Having a professional to help direct our family through a very difficult time was how we were able to show our son love, and support his process to accepting the gift of inpatient treatment. Thank you, Patti, for all the time you spent looking for the best treatment program to support our son’s needs. Our family is so grateful every day seeing the happiness in our son’s life.
Patti’s involvement with my daughter’s rehab has been and continues to be invaluable to my family. We would not have been able to get to this point in my daughter’s recovery without Patti’s consistently unwavering support, intervention expertise and advocating on behalf of my daughter. We are blessed to know that recovery has not only helped our daughter but how it has helped our entire family to heal. It has been amazing watching our daughter gain success not only with recovery from substance but she also wants to have a relationship with our family.
When Patti was referred to me, I was nothing short of desperate to get help for my son. She entered my life and basically swooped me up off the ground. She patiently listened and guided me through the steps that I needed to take back control of my life and get help for my son. She was always there for us when we needed her the most. My son has developed a super close bond with her and is grateful for all that she has done. I truly believe that she cares for her clients like they are part of her family. She is someone that I will always be in touch with, because she is also a great friend.
Patti has provided prompt effective case management, expert advice based on her considerable experience, coordination between complex family dynamics and rehab facilities, all of which has preserved my sanity and helped me considerably, especially on the numerous occasions my daughter was on the brink of capitulation, wanting to leave rehab. I highly recommend Patti as an excellent interventionist and case manager for all cases of addiction.
We had to do an intervention with my son and found Patti after we asked for recommendations from some of the leading treatment centers in the country. She was amazing and had a magic gift in dealing with young drug addicts in total denials. She helped us find the best treatment center for our son while we were overwhelmed navigating the endless centers with poor quality and no outcome data. Patti was a teenager whisperer doing the intervention and escorting my son on his plane trip while keeping him calm and committed despite multiple screw ups by United Airlines. She had to demand that the captain opened the cabin door as they were stranded at the gate… and were going to miss their connections … which could have been catastrophic…so we were able to get them into another airline and she managed the entire day ordeal to keep my son calm and committed to go to treatment. I highly recommend Patti to help you save your sanity ….and your loved one!
Patti, we celebrated my daughters 1 Year sobriety birthday last night. Thank you for your critical work in helping us get my daughter the help she needed. I think of the words that we all hope to hear some day, “well done good and faithful servant, enter into my kingdom.” Well done, well done. It’s been amazing to watch our daughter have a relationship with her sister. For the first time I’m many years, we have hope in our family.
Patti: We have our son back because of your guidance and the proper treatment centers you suggested. Thanks a million. Our son had been struggling from a young age with addictions, it was horrible watching his life get worse. Patti stayed onboard with our family throughout our son’s treatment, helping our family as a long-term case manager. We worked with Patti and her team for over four years which took that long for our family to feel secure and to promote recovery and healing within our family.
Patti – You were a key part of making this happen. Thank you again. Today is the one-year sobriety anniversary for our son. He has matured a lot and is moving in today with his Roommate in an apartment that he is paying for with multiple jobs. He is also taking two online classes at a local community college. Thank you again for your help a year ago and your support in this journey.
We recently had a crisis situation where a family member needed immediate help with a serious addiction problem. To complicate matters, the best care facilities were in different parts of the country from where we live. We were unsure what to do and found the whole situation completely overwhelming. Fortunately, we connected with Patricia Pike. She helped us locate the appropriate facilities (we needed 2) and took care of all the details. She provided a safe escort, booked flights and accommodations, handled all the paperwork and dealt with some precise timing issues. Her calm manner and obvious expertise guided us through this very difficult time. We couldn’t have handled things without her help, are extremely grateful for her and highly recommend her services.
Addiction is a scary word, but when it finds its way to your family you are totally unprepared. Addiction touches the very heart of your family and extended family. Patti is in every sense of the word our leader and coach. The first time on the phone with Patti I knew she would work well with the dynamics of our family. She listened, gave advice and told us what she was able to provide for us. Holistic in her approach she does not just help you with the treatment for the addicted person; she prepares you for the whole journey. We hired Patti to help us with an intervention on my brother. He has been a drug addict for more than 30 years. My parents are elderly and needed special care and support through this process. I had no idea just how much care and support my sister and I would need. Patti was there for us and still is every step of the way. What makes Patti so unique is not just the work she does, but the care and strength she gave our family. I would never hesitate to recommend Patti; we never would have gotten my brother into treatment. We’re a long way from a happy ending, but with Patti’s help we took the right steps. Thank you, Patti.
Patti is gifted… with compassion and understanding, I call it a gift because it takes a special person to see past mistakes & actions and into the true person. She delivered hope when we thought there was none… at a time where family & friends felt exhausted after many attempts to try to make our loved one see how important it was to get clean. Patti educated us and led us to the approach that was needed to carry across the true love, & compassion for someone we felt we were losing… and someone who had lost themselves. Thank you, Patti, you changed not just one life – but many, in one intervention.
Patti is an amazing woman. She really helped me when I was detoxing. Patty sat at my bedside with a very soothing voice and talked to me about getting clean. She talked with my husband and had a huge part in us (my husband and I) reaching an agreement. I’m really not sure what would’ve happened had she not been there to support both my husband. I am blessed that Patti was an integral part in me getting clean. I will never forget that. What a blessing and I am still clean today one day at a time.
Patti Pike worked with me at a treatment facility in California. She always made sure I had the tools to stay clean. To this day I have a close relationship with Patti! I’m going on three years clean and it’s because of Patti’s help and support that I have my life back. It’s been a blessing to have my life back, working to be a productive member in the community. Spending time with my family and working on my recovery. I would have never known life could be like it is, today. Thank you.
My heart was broken, and I was losing my mind obsessing about my son’s drug addiction. I started the research and reached out for advice, what should/could I do??? After one conversation with Patti Pike my mind was eased, and I had a plan or at least the start of a plan. I was soothed by the sound of her voice and encouraged with her listening skills and the way she drew me out and got me to face my denial. I never thought I would get through the intervention, but Patti dug in and became a part of our family quickly and expertly guided us through the most painful thing we’ve ever had to do. I have a feeling she will be a part of our lives for a long time. She was and is very professional spending time with each of us and getting to know our son through each person’s eyes. We all feel very connected to Patti and have only the highest regard for her. I hope you don’t have a need of an interventionist but if you do Patti will take you carefully and thoughtfully through the process.
It has been quite a long journey up to this point, but it is one that I strongly believe my family would not have been able to survive intact, without Patti’s involvement. In this six-year evolution, my family has dealt with quite a few professionals in the Addictions field…and I can honestly say that none of them had the skills, insight, or dedication that Patti does. If you are reading this and wondering about making that call…I would strongly urge you to do so…it might just be the best decision you ever make. It was for my family!
Patricia Pike (Patti) has been a part of my recovery process since February 1st/2000, when I first entered treatment after my addiction made me jobless, broke, homeless, and with no friends or family. In treatment, she pointed me in the direction of a 12-step program that could help me learn to cope and live with a life in recovery free of drugs and alcohol. After a relapse that left me with no choice but to get clean, I knew the only person that that could help was Patti P. Patti has continually played an active role in my recovery since the beginning. Thanks to those basic tools I received in treatment and one on one counseling sessions, I have stayed clean for 13 years, and am now working on a Criminology Degree to fulfill yet another dream of mine. Patti also has extensive expensive education working directly within the GLBTQA, HIV/ AIDS, teen, and young adult experience. If you are looking for an interventionist who can fit into any client situation, Patricia Pike is the best possible solution for all treatment needs.
Our family was at the end of the road, unsure what to do, it was clear our son would end up in jail or worse from his addiction and lifestyle. We reached out to Patti, immediately from that first call, she gave us hope, to accept we needed professional help as a family. Patti facilitated a family intervention and our son accepted treatment, she was able to prepare, and transport him directly to treatment on the day of the interventions. Our son is now getting the help he needs, and we are involved in the family program. Thank you Patti for your commitment and dedication to helping our entire family.
You were his advocate as much as mine…He is on the way to recovery now and I have only you to thank for working with us – I am grateful everyday for meeting you.
