Monitoring drug & alcohol testing services

CanAm Interventions monitoring manager Sam Corkum oversees daily screening for drug and alcohol testing such as Sober link, BAC, and home testing kits for drug testing, or a private medical testing site. As Studies have shown, drug and alcohol testing and professional monitoring during early recovery can significantly reduce the risk of relapse and promote more positive outcomes. Consistent alcohol and or drug testing and monitoring, along with case management, and other comprehensive support services leads to an exponentially improved chance of successful long-term recovery | Monitoring brochure.

What are the goals of recovery accountability?

One of our primary goals at CanAm Interventions is to support our clients in gaining independence, and to be responsible for their recovery. People in early recovery go through many challenges trying to get their life back such as: completing an inpatient treatment program, moving back home with family members, going back to work or school, and building trusting healthy relationships.

A program of structured care – for clients in early recovery – leads to accountability, responsibility, transparency and will build confidence in the client and promotes the families’ trust in the recovery process and overall peace of mind.

Alcohol and drug testing, coupled with monitoring, play a crucial role in the context of recovery case management services.

How does monitoring services work?

Our Monitoring services hold our clients accountable for their recovery. They are available as stand-alone services, or as part of a more comprehensive support package as determined by the needs of the case and all those involved.

Relapse rates are higher during the first three months after completing treatment. It is recommended additional monitoring and case management support throughout the first 90 days post-treatment.
