Home Detox Support

Collaborate, communicate, and evaluate.

Carefully Screened. Closely Monitored. Professionally Managed.

When clinically appropriate and medically cleared, CanAm Interventions coordinates structured home detox support in collaboration with a licensed medical nurse, including Joe and Pattie and her clinical team. We can provide 24/7 in-home care, with a nurse and support workers as needed, to ensure continuous monitoring and safety. This option is carefully assessed to determine medical and environmental suitability. Home detox is never a standalone service — it is part of a coordinated stabilization plan designed to provide medical oversight, daily structure, and clear communication with the family and prescribing physician.

Working alongside Joe and Pattie and her team, we provide close monitoring, symptom tracking, medication management, emotional support, and accountability during the early withdrawal phase. Our role is to ensure safety, reduce risk, and create a seamless transition into the next appropriate level of care — whether residential treatment, outpatient services, or ongoing case management. This approach prioritizes dignity, stabilization, and coordinated care during a critical and vulnerable time.

Pre-Detox and Post-Detox Home Support

Before any home detox is considered, CanAm Interventions conducts a comprehensive clinical screening to determine medical and psychological appropriateness. This includes substance use history, withdrawal risk (including seizure or DT risk), mental health status, medication review, prior detox attempts, medical comorbidities, and family environment stability. We collaborate with the prescribing physician and nursing team to ensure medical clearance and develop a structured stabilization plan. A safety protocol is established outlining monitoring frequency, symptom tracking, emergency procedures, medication management, and clear roles for the nurse, family, and case management team. Treatment planning at this stage also identifies the next level of care to ensure detox is not an endpoint, but a transition.

Post-Detox Stabilization & Continuing Care

Once medically stabilized, the focus shifts to relapse prevention, psychological support, and long-term treatment engagement. We reassess readiness for change, co-occurring mental health needs, family dynamics, and environmental triggers. A structured aftercare plan is developed, which may include residential treatment, PHP/IOP programming, therapy, psychiatric follow-up, recovery coaching, family systems work, and accountability measures. Ongoing case management ensures coordination, progress monitoring, and adjustments as needed. The goal is continuity of care — supporting both the individual and the family in building stability, structure, and sustainable recovery beyond detox.
