Nathan Gist

Sober Coach, California Certified Massage Therapist, Graduate of CCAPP Academy.

My background is eclectic and have largely been based on my own interests and my own needs. I was always interested in Asia and it’s culture and martial arts and healing arts, I lived in a martial arts academy in my early 20’s where I taught classes and helped run the facility. I had a lot of pain from training intensely so I moved to San Francisco to study massage and healing arts in 2001 and began to practice in 2004 , I have since performed massages for people in all walks of life. In 2019 I began to work in Drug and Alcohol treatment at a facility in Marin County which treats Co-occurring disorders. Simultaneously I began my studies at the CCAPP Academy. I am currently finishing my requirement to have 3000 hours in the field to take the California test to receive my CADC-1. My life has been about learning how to live, heal, and teach. I have been clean and sober for nearly 14 years and have worked on my life for several years in weekly therapy when I was 7 years sober. I look forward to working with you.
